Because of their particular needs, the people we support — disabled people, older adults and veterans — are at the sharp end of the housing crisis. In the context of Scotland's declared housing emergency, the challenges they face are bigger than ever.
What your donation does
Your donation funds bespoke, one to one advice. It matters to us that every client keeps a single broker for the whole time they need our help — which means funding a big enough team to serve the thousands of clients who contact us each year.
We advise other charities and public bodies on housing, disabled people, older adults and veterans. Through that training and consultancy, your donation makes an even bigger impact across Scotland's housing and healthcare landscape.
As Scotland's only national housing advice charity for disabled people, older adults and veterans, we bring our clients' voices into research and policy — so their needs are represented when future housing policy is shaped.

Why we need your donations
As a charity, we rely solely on donations and grants. Since the pandemic we have seen a major increase in clients, but our core funding has not kept pace. Every donation from members of the public genuinely makes a difference.
As a small charity, the vast majority of our funding is spent on staff costs — our service is people helping people, and that will always be our priority. We operate on a lean budget, and our annual accounts are audited and published with the Scottish Charity Register.
